sophiajacob is pleased to present new work by Harrison Tyler. Comprising of two site-specific pieces, this week-long project will engage the gallery’s basement as an abstracted, simulated space. Utilizing live video feed and architectural intervention, Harrison’s installations address modes of locating the virtual body in real space through a technologically mediated perceptual experience.
Harrison Tyler was born in Hartford, CT in 1991, and currently lives in Baltimore where he is a sculptor finishing his degree at MICA. His work regularly engages structural and perceptual challenges involving technical fabrication, hybrid technology, and multimedia installation. Harrison has participated in several group shows in Baltimore, Miami, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York.
